Natural Selection acts as a hub for next level reggae/dub/jazz artists home and abroad and they have put on events from UK, EU Africa, an more! They have been the backbone for allowing the sound to become known and lovedAll the artists in the collective run as solo artists as well as rolling as Natural Selection Collective.Natural Selection actively promotes the sound and works as an agent for the artists in the collective.

Natural Selection 10K Sound System promotes 6-8 Roots Reggae/Dub/Jazz events inside the UK each year and 6 events outside the UK.The next 3 years all Natural Selection UK gigs will be in and around the North West,UK.Our main aim is to bring international Reggae/Dub/Jazz Artists who have never been to the UK,Manchester,to join the Natural Selection Collective.On the flip side,Natural Selection Collective are actively building a new sound system to take to Africa, Ethiopia.Highest!

Natural Selection is actively involved in community workshops, engaging with the youths of Manchester by introducing empowering workshops on all aspects of running a sound system.These highly productive workshops give the youth of the community the opportunity to work with international artists,selectors,engineer’s,bands and music makers with the fun of a 10K sound system at their disposal.All our workshops provide strong mentors with years of experience in all departments of running a sound system and are delivered creatively and in high spirits every time.These workshops will also be run at the “Extra Love” Free mini festival @ Hulme Park,South Manchester.2009.Get Involved!

The shocking news recently revealed from Noel Gallagher of Burnage in Manchester that the local Manchester modern pop beat combo oasis will be playing the largest rock concert ever next year in Manchester is sending such huge bouncy noise and stuff in the world of music people and their managers and promoters and entourages that there are fears that people will be sleeping on the streets when this unprecedented music show happens next year on the 6th and 7th of June. News just in - book your budget accommodation in Manchester at Hatters Hostel or Hilton Chambers while you can. Even though there might be rain there will be plenty of laughs with the comedy festival starting today and lasting for over a week… enough to make the hardened smile. With the likes of super international acts such as Dylan Moran and our own local Jason Manford who has a thing about whiny footballers and rips them to shreds hilariously the festival is on for 11 days and nights with 90 shows in 30 great venues around the city, is priced reasonably and most of it is within walking distance from our lovely manchester hostels.
