RUN SANTA RUN!!!
Manchester United are hosting a Santa Run on the 14th of December
It’s just £10 to participate and you get a Santa suit included in the price. The whole family can have a go for just £20 and they get one Santa suit and 3 Santa hats.
The family race starts at 10:30 and the “serious Santa” race starts at 11:30. There is also prices for the best dressed santa so you can even go in your own homemade Santa Suit!!!
A brand new comedy night in Birminghams’ Jewellery Quarter has just been announced.
Just around the corner form Hatters Hostel in the Actress and Bishop there will be a night of comic wonderfulness. It will hosted by goliaths of the local Birmingham comedy scene Andy White and Ryan Gough. It’s £5 in at the door but guests at Hatters Birmingham get in for FREE.
We always knew we were good. In fact, we tried really hard to make the new website be everything we wanted it to be AND MORE!
And now, someone else knows we’re fab too!!!!
Last night, we hopped off to little old London town and were presented the award for BEST WEBSITE at the BETA Youth Travel Awards 2008. Yippee!!!
Our utter confidence was demonstrated to everyone at the awards ceremony…. As the announcement “And the award for Best Website 2008 goes to……” and a proper X-Factor moment descended, we held our breaths and felt like proper Oscar nominees. They let us out of our misery and announced “Hatters Hostels” and we reacted as follows: Jonny web genius and
generally nice chap said “You MUST be joking” so the whole place could hear, blogging genius Charlotte thought “The same Hatters hostel as ours?” Super-organiser Alena’s chin had to be scooped up off the floor and big boss James jumped up immediately.
So as new celebs, we marched up onto stage had our paparrazzi moments and then headed to the free bar after photo after photo after photo. So you can tell that we were super-confident.
The best bit of all is that we haven’t finished making it better and better yet!!! So just watch out for the new features that will keep springing up on a weekly basis. You won’t need another website. You might even be able to do your weekly food shop on our website……ok maybe not but it was a nice idea.

Ok then everybody the time is here!!! One month ’til Christmas!!! Advent calenders ready and go go go !!!!! We all saw the Coke Cola ad last night so it’s officially time to start decorating those trees, get the gifts and wrap them all up, get all ingredients at hand to prepare those delicious meals and puddings, pin up your XMas stockings, oooh and don’t forget the mistletoe 
!!!
We have to remember though that Christmas although originally a religious holiday today it is the holiday of giving, love, sharing and being with people you care for. Even if you are miles away from home there is always someone in a similar potion so make an effort and do not be alone on Christmas.
