Birmingham Pride – The largest free gay and lesbian festival in the UK is back this weekend!
The event is mainly held in the gay village around Hurst Street – home of Birmingham’s gay scene – and includes a big

The colourful parade of floats and walking groups will set off from Victoria Square at 2pm on
Saturday (23rd May) and marks the opening event of the festival.
Over the rest of the weekend expect
live music (including
S Club 3 and
Blazin Squad),
cabaret and comedy acts, funfair rides,
dancing arenas, a
‘Pride’s got Talent’ competition, chill-out & family areas, market & community stalls and much more.
All this is a huge celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and attracts more than 70,000 people every year!
