Manchester City on is having to protect their ground from the southern warriors Fulham F.C.
I’m sure there are still tickets available, so for those of you who just want to watch a big match in a big stadium this a brilliant opportunity!
Here are some bars you can watch the games in:
Dry Bar – Oldham street
The Varsity – Oxford Street
Joshua Brooks – Princess Street
Lass O’ Gowrie – Charles Street
Scubar2 – Chester Street
Liverpool are also gearing up to face the old enemy next Sunday, as Manchester United make the trip up the M62 to Anfield for a mouthwatering early-season test of the Reds’ title credentials. Here’s hoping Sir Alex is fitted with an official LFC watch, rather than his usual “Fergie Time” timepiece.
It’s not just the red side of Merseyside in for a big week though, as Everton are also in continental action in Portugal on Thursday night. They will face the mighty Benfica at Estadio Da Luz in Europa League Group I, and will hope to build on their encouraging 2-1 win against Bate Borisov last time out. The Toffees will also face Bolton back on home-soil on Sunday afternoon, and will need to convince the Goodison Park faithful after a disappointing draw with Wolves last week.
Now, how to convince the owners to install a massive plasma screen with full sports package in reception…? Answers on a postcard, folks.
Football season kicks off this weekend and will be taking over our lives and our Hostel for the next oooo what is it? 10 months??
Oh the joy of living in Manchester, crazy fans descend upon the city like it is the last match they will ever see everytime Manchester United play…
Not to forget, Manchester is also host to many Manchester City matches, they always seem to be overshadowed by the premier league winners Manchester United…
There are a few websites that you can try getting tickets from, but going to a Manchester United game is a unique experience due to the enormity of the ground, and the atmosphere is something you can only truley understand in person….
But if you cant get a ticket to any matches (boo hoo), Manchester is still a great place to come and watch the football, with loads of proper Manc boozers, full of that football atmosphere (loud mancs screaming football chants etc) it’s definatley worth coming to see. Be prepared to hear foul language and get covered in beer.. Warning not for the easily offended!!
